Current Topics in Dø B-physics

چکیده
The Tevatron, Fermilab’s pp 1.96 GeV/c C.M. Collider, has recently reached a delivered total of 1 fb of integrated luminosity to its two multi-purpose detectors, DØ and CDF, during the current data taking period known as RunII. Initial difficulties with beam stability were efficiently corrected during a shutdown in late 2003, and since then the Tevatron complex has operated remarkably well, with impressive recovery during 2004 and matching its luminosity design goals in 2005 [1]. The DØ detector has been steadily accumulating good quality data throughout RunII with luminosity recording efficiencies now approaching the 90% mark [2]. This article presents an overview of selected DØ studies in B Physics, with emphasis on the most recent results, many of which are still preliminary. Specific analyses are covered in more detail elsewhere in these proceedings.

متن کاملB Physics at DØ
The Fermilab Tevatron (pp), operating at √ s = 1.96 TeV, is a rich source of B hadrons. The large acceptance in terms of rapidity and transverse momentum of the charged particle tracking system and the muon system make the upgraded Run II DØ detector an excellent tool for B physics. In this article, we report on selected physics results based on the first 250 pb −1 of Run II data. This includes...

The DØ detector at FNAL has undergone a significant upgrade for its present Run II data taking period, allowing for a broad B physics programme. This report focuses on studies performed on a sample of approximately 75· 10 3 inclusive J/ψ events. Preliminary results on mass and lifetime measurements and prospects for flavour tagging are presented.
متن کاملResults from Run I of the Tevatron
Run I of the Tevatron ended in 1996 but the flow of new physics results based on that data from the CDF and DØ collaborations continues unabated. The Run I physics program is rich and varied, topics include top-quark physics, bottom-quark physics, electroweak studies, QCD studies, and searches for new phenomena. While new results have appeared recently in all areas, this talk will concentrate o...
